Who Are We?

Breathe Easy Moberly is a community based coalition working toward reducing the harmful effects of tobacco use and exposure to secondhand smoke (SHS) by educating the community, local businesses, and policy makers about the health, social, and economic impacts of tobacco.

Through education and advocacy we hope to:

• decrease the use of tobacco products
• increase awareness about the dangers of SHS
• reduce involuntary exposure to tobacco smoke
• increase the number of healthy adults and children by decreasing chronic health issues related to tobacco use and exposure to tobacco smoke

What Is Our Belief?

We believe in a healthier environment for Randolph County. One that is free from the burdens associated with the use of and exposure to the 7,000 chemicals and compounds found in tobacco smoke.

Why?

There is no risk-free level of exposure to tobacco smoke, and there is no safe tobacco product. Tobacco smoke is classified as a "known human carcinogen (cancer-causing agent)" and is responsible for numerous health issues in smokers AND non-smokers.
